The roadshow kicks off in Charlottetown October 16th. "Whether you are a longtime fan or checking out the sport for the very first time, this roadshow celebration will have something for everyone"!

30-day, 15 City roadshow set to celebrate 50 years of ringette

Ottawa, Ontario – July 25, 2013 – Canadians from coast to coast will have the opportunity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of ringette when Ringette Canada rolls out a 30-day, 15 city roadshow later this year. The roadshow, officially announced today, will begin in mid-October and travel across the country hosting a variety of ringette events along the way. All tour stops will include appearances by mascots, Samantha Belle and Junior Jacks; a skills event; a Come Try Ringette session; a Ringette Activation Festival (including target shooting, trivia and prizes) and a locally tailored ringette event that the rest of the country can tune in and watch via webcast. Locations where a National Ringette League team exist will also feature a regular season home game.

“Our 50th anniversary roadshow is the ultimate celebration of the fastest game on ice and we are making sure that people across this entire country will have an opportunity to celebrate our Canadian-invented sport of ringette,” said Frances Losier, sport development director, Ringette Canada. “Whether you are a longtime fan or checking the sport out for the very first time, this roadshow celebration will have something for everyone.”

The roadshow kicks off in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island on October 16th and will then make its way to southern Ontario. Following a short one-week break, the roadshow will pick up again in British Columbia and then head towards Manitoba, where it will conclude on November 9th.
