The East Side Mario's Player of the Week for January 16 is Lauren Misener from the U10 Chick With Sticks. Lauren is in her first year of ringette and off to a great start with her teammates with her great work ethic and sportsmanship. Here are a few highlights in her own words:
Why do you like playing ringette?
I like skating fast and competing.
What do you like about ringette?
It's fun, I have lots of fun with the team.
What do you like about your team?
They are funny, and they score lots of great goals.
Tell us about your favorite ringette moment.
When someone on my team passed me the ring while I was skating backwards and I turned around and shot it right into the net.
