The East Side Mario's Player of the Week for January 9 is Norah French from the U10 Blue Blades. Norah just started playing ringette this season and off to a great start with her team's silver medal at the November Montague Ringette Tournament. Here are a few highlights in her own words:
Why do you like playing ringette?
I like trying to get goals.
What do you like about ringette?
Ringette is the first team sport I've liked. I like the way we work together to win.
What do you like about your team?
The other players on my team are a lot of fun to be around and we have the best coach (Scott MacLean).
Tell us about your favorite ringette moment.
When I scored 2 goals 30 seconds apart during the Montague Tournament. And our team won the sliver medals.
