The East Side Mario's Player of the Week for December 26 is Sophie Nelson from the U10 Ice Breakers. Sophie has been playing Ringette for 3 years and tearing up the ice this year with the rest of her teammates. Here are a few highlights in her own words:
Why do you like playing ringette?
Because I like sports and have a lot of friends that also play ringette.
What do you like about ringette?
I love to skate.
What do you like about your team?
I love my coaches Brad, Cory , Thane, and Rob (Dad).
Tell us about your favorite ringette moment.
When my teacher from last year came to my game and I scored a goal for her.
