2012 U19 World Ringette Championship - Dec 28 to Jan 3 - London, ON

2012-12-20

Cheer on Sue Ellen McInnis from Charlottetown on U19 Team Canada East next week as they go for Gold at the 2012 U19 World Ringette Championship in London, ON!

Watch for one of our own #44 - Sue Ellen McInnis from Charlottetown, P.E.I. on the U19 Team Canada East - 2012 for the upcoming World Ringette Championships in London ON.

Team Canada East's first game is Saturday, Dec 29 at 10 AM Charlottetown time against team Russia. Cheer her on by watching online via the web.

Here are some background notes from Ringette Canada on the event starting next week:

So to begin, there will be six teams competing at the event. Canada will have two national teams – Team Canada East and Team Canada West. Finland will send their national team and three other teams will participate – Team Russia, Team France and Team USA. These countries are currently developing their ringette programs and are not yet able to support teams at the elite level so this is an opportunity to recognize and celebrate their initiatives, so Team Russia is comprised of mostly Ontario players, Team France has primarily Quebec players and Team USA athletes are mostly from Western Canada.

A media guide has been created to introduce you to our two national teams – Team Canada East and Team Canada West. Full bios for all the athletes are included in the guide as well as additional information about the event (past results, schedule, etc.). You can access the media guide here

We also have official photos for our two national teams and they can be accessed here for Team Canada East and here for Team Canada West.

To access rosters (with hometowns) for Team Russia, France, USA and Finland, please click here and use the drop down menu to navigate to the team you are interested in.
