The East Side Mario's Player of the Week for December 5 is Ellie Conohan from the U10 Purple Predators. Ellie is in her third year of ringette and having a blast this year with her team. Here are are a few highlights in her own words:
Why do you like playing ringette?
I like playing ringette because it's fast and it's fun and you get to meet lots of new friends!
What do you like about ringette?
I like playing in tournaments, especially the Moncton tournament!
What do you like about your team?
My teammates and my coaches, Mark and Mike, are really nice and make ringette lots of fun!
Tell us about your favorite ringette moment.
My favorite ringette moment was scoring a "buzzer beater" goal with one second left in the period in a game last week.
