Charlottetown Ringette Announces Upcoming Community Skates in Support of KidSport PEI
2012-11-03Head out to an all-inclusive Ringette Community Skate on Monday, November 12 from 11:30 AM to 1 PM at the CARI Complex with funds going to KidsSport PEI
The Charlottetown Ringette Association has partnered with the CARI Complex to offer a series of community skates. Our ringette community has reached over 300 members strong this year and this is a great opportunity for players and family members across all ages to get together for a great cause. Mark your calendar for November 12, January 2,and February 18 from 11:30 am to 1 pm.
The price of admission is a minimum donation of $2 to KidSport PEI, an organization that helps ensure that all children across Prince Edward Island have the opportunity to participate in organized sport by removing financial barriers that might limit or prevent participation. Since its inception in 1997, over 4400 Island children have received KidSport grants to cover the cost of sport registration fees.
KidSport PEI believes playing sports teaches children important life skills, and helps them maintain a healthy lifestyle. We want all children to have the opportunity to benefit from what sport has to offer! At one point, even PEI's elite athletes were once children competing in community sports leagues and school sport programs. KidSport PEI is an Island-wide program that ensures no child is left on the sidelines.
There will be music playing throughout the skate to keep the skaters and spectators rocking. One lucky participant will win a free pool pass from the CARI Complex. Come on out, get some exercise, rock to some tunes and spend quality time with your friends, all the while supporting a great cause. See you at the rink!
