NEW - Goalie Equipment Usage Policy

2011-10-21

Ringette Canada Goalie

Announcing a new Goalie Equipment usage policy for the 2011-12 season...

The Charlottetown Ringette Association continues to make investments each season in loaner equipment for our goalies and have adopted a new Goalie Equipment Usage Policy effective this season.

Goalie Equipment Usage Policy

Every team needs a goalie, and goalie equipment is more expensive than player equipment, Charlottetown Ringette offers equipment to goalies as a result. The Charlottetown Ringette Association continues to provide equipment to acknowledge the high cost involved with the commitment to play the position.

To qualify, a player must have demonstrated commitment to being a goalie and must have been selected as a dedicated goalie.

The goalie equipment is the property of the Charlottetown Ringette Association. The equipment is to be used for ringette only; it is strictly forbidden to use the equipment for uses other than ringette on ice (such as, but not limited to gym ringette, or any form of hockey).

The equipment must be returned in good condition, allowing for normal wear and tear. The Equipment Manager reserves the right to charge for repairs if he/she deems that the equipment is returned in unsatisfactory condition.

NOTE: The association supplies individuals with one set of goaltender equipment (pads, chest protector, and blocker/trapper as needed). Pants, bags, neck guards, skates and mask/helmet are considered personal items.

Thank you

Michael James
