Team dates for Games, Tournaments and U12 Provincial Coaching Call
2011-10-19Lots of important items at the start of the season with Team being formed this weeend and the House League season starting November 1. The U12 Provincial team is getting rolling as well - now looking for coaches!
Team practices and game schedules after October 23
The teams will be formed after the first 4 practices on October 23 and your athlete’s coach will be in contact with you next Sunday or Monday to let you know the team that your athlete will play on this coming season as well as the next team practice. The House League game season starts on Tuesday, November 1 and goes to early March. The practice schedule will be published Sunday after the teams are selected and the House League game schedule will be posted during the last week of October. They are both in progress. Once the House League games are scheduled, the practices will also be scheduled until the Charlottetown Tournament in mid-January.
Tournament dates - Montague early bird in a few weeks...
Montague - The tournament is being planned for the weekend of November 17-20 with games typically Thursday evening, Friday and Saturday during the day & evening and Sunday is the playoffs. You may want to make arrangements to be off work on Friday to attend your daughter’s game now! More details will follow from your coach after the teams are formed but be prepared to be asked if your team is wanting to register as the deadline is before the end of October. The cost for the tournament is $450 and divided by the number of the players on the team. You can choose to fund-raise as a team for these fees or cover them by each family on your own.
Charlottetown - The tournament is set for January 12-15 with over 60 teams this year from Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and across the Island with games running in both rinks at the CARI and Cody Banks Arena from Thursday evening until Sunday afternoon. We will be looking for volunteers throughout the weekend to help with the tournament and your daughter’s team will play at least 3 games over the weekend before the crossovers. This is our association’s main fundraiser to keep our registrations fees as affordable as possible. The cost for the tournament is $525 ($425 U8) and divided by the number of the players on your team.
Riverview - Dieppe - The tournament is set for March 9-11 and a great weekend of fun away in the Greater Moncton area. The Charlottetown teams have typically played their first games on Friday morning, so plan for a day/weekend away with the kids!

Ringette PEI is now accepting coaching applications for the U12 Development Team program. Deadline to apply is October 27th at 4:00 pm.
Ringette PEI is currently accepting Provincial Team Coaching Staff applications for the new U12 Development Teams
Applications are to follow the policy, Selection of Provincial Team Coaches. More information online at Ringette PEI
