Dressing Room Policy Reminder

Coaches,

At your next practice/game, we need you to personally remind your players and parents of the Charlottetown and Area Ringette Association Dressing Room Policy that is in place for the safety of our athletes. To date, we have not had any incidents with our athletes but have had a number of parents in the Dressing Rooms before or after games. Each team can designate up to 2 additional females over 18 years of age that have had their criminal records check performed (or in progress) to be permitted in the Dressing Room. Everyone else is not permitted to enter the Dressing Room for the U12 Division and above.

4. DRESSING ROOM POLICY (found on page 13)

It is recommended, when possible, no adult shall be alone in the dressing room with the players.

Only designated, criminally checked, team staff are permitted in the dressing room; one of which must include a criminally record checked female. Should a petite aged or older player require skates to be tied, she is to exit the dressing room. Exception: Novice parents are permitted in the dressing room.

There will be no male players permitted in dressing rooms from the U12 / petite age and up. Male players may enter with team staff.

Male coaches must be accompanied by an adult female when entering the dressing room.

Charlottetown Ringette has a strict "NO TOUCH" policy.
