Goaltenders

Did you know that we can help provide you with Goalie equipment?  If your child has an interest to become a goalie, ask us for more information and we can help.  There are some great incentives for the 2017/18 year for those who want to become a goalie or even give it a try.

We launched an online Goaltender survey asking for your feedback and we’ve listened.  We amended our Policy Manual with the new goalie recommendations that were recently passed at our August 23rd meeting.  We believe that there are some great incentives for developing goalies at a younger age for our future growth of the sport.

Some key incentives include:

Under 12 and Up - Rebate raised to 100% at end of season for those who have met 75% of team commitment of games/practices in nets subject to coach’s verification, but only for players supplying 100% of their own gear.

Under 10 - Fulltime U10 goalies will get full (100%) rebate at end of season or after playing at least 50% of games in nets.

Come Try Ringette

We have been promoting our Come Try Ringette program throughout the summer and will be sending out notification to schools as kids head back next week.  If you know anyone who may be interested to try Ringette then invite them to pre-register for FREE at http://www.cometryringette.ca/event/come-try-ringette-charlottetown/

It will be held on September 16th at the Bell Aliant Centre – Rink B at 12:15 PM.  If you have any questions, please contact Kerri Moore at j.moore@pei.sympatico.ca

Registration Dates and Times / BBQ

  • Sept 13th from 6-8 PM with a “Welcome Back BBQ” and Social Night (Bring a friend)
  • Sept 16th from 11 AM to 2 PM (Come Try Ringette)
Payments by INTERAC, Cash and Cheque will be accepted for these two dates.  There are no mail-in registrations available for the 2017/18 season.

We play in a house league against other associations in locations such as Montague, Souris, Rustico and Summerside with some local and off Island tournaments. Charlottetown has experienced a growth rate of 11 percent over the last 8 or 9 years with over 410 girls playing ringette in the Charlottetown area in the 2016/17 season.
